Fundraising Disclosure
The National Police Defense Foundation is committed to transparency in its fundraising, membership, and charitable activities. This page provides public information regarding authorized fundraising activity, charity registration, donor privacy, and how contributions made directly to the NPDF are used.
1. Fundraising Statement
The National Police Defense Foundation’s executive and advisory boards are composed of volunteers. As a result, the NPDF may engage professional fundraising companies to assist with approved fundraising efforts. Any such professional fundraiser is financially compensated for services provided.
At this time, the NPDF does not conduct an active nationwide residential fundraising campaign. Any authorized business solicitation campaign or professional fundraising relationship will be disclosed on this page.
Membership dues and tax-deductible donations made directly to the NPDF are used to help support the foundation’s operations, charitable programs, and law enforcement initiatives, including Operation Kids, Safe Cop, and other NPDF-supported efforts.
2. Charity Registration
The National Police Defense Foundation is an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting law enforcement, public safety families, and charitable community initiatives.
The NPDF maintains required charitable registrations and files applicable annual reports and financial statements in states where registration is required by law.

3. Authorized Fundraising Campaign
The National Police Defense Foundation may authorize professional fundraising representatives to assist with approved fundraising campaigns. Any authorized professional fundraiser is financially compensated for services provided.

The State Troopers Coalition of the National Police Defense Foundation is not affiliated with the State Troopers Coalition, which is an independent IRS-designated 501(c)(3) organization.
5. Donor Privacy Policy
The National Police Defense Foundation values the privacy of its donors, members, and supporters. Personal information provided to the foundation is maintained with safeguards designed to help protect confidentiality.
The NPDF does not sell, rent, or share donor or membership lists with outside fundraising companies, marketers, or nonprofit organizations except where required by law or necessary to process approved services.

6. Internet Appeals & Online Giving
The National Police Defense Foundation may periodically conduct internet-based fundraising appeals, emergency case support campaigns, and online giving opportunities through official NPDF websites or approved fundraising platforms.
Supporters are encouraged to contribute only through verified National Police Defense Foundation channels. Before making a donation or providing personal information, donors should confirm that the appeal is authorized and connected to the foundation.
The NPDF does not endorse unauthorized fundraising campaigns, unofficial social media solicitations, or third-party appeals using the foundation’s name without permission.

7. Affinity Programs & Member Savings
The National Police Defense Foundation may periodically offer affinity programs and member savings opportunities through approved third-party partners. These programs are intended to provide added value to members and supporters while helping strengthen the foundation’s mission.

8. Financial Records & Public Requests
The National Police Defense Foundation is an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is subject to applicable annual reporting requirements.
The foundation maintains required filings and records in accordance with nonprofit regulations. Members of the public may request available public financial documents, including applicable IRS Form 990 filings and other disclosures permitted by law.
